Make industrial scale human
A guided experience connecting operations, community and future ambition.
A guided 6,800 sq ft journey from industrial scale to human transformation.
A guided experience connecting operations, community and future ambition.
Led the concept and visitor journey across a 6,800 sq ft centre.
Seven zones; expected completion by the end of 2026.
01 / Context
Lloyds Metals wanted a place that could show what the company has done, what it is doing now and where it is going—without separating industrial achievement from the people and region being transformed alongside it.
I personally created and led the research synthesis, concepts, storytelling, visitor journey, zoning, interaction ideas and presentation narrative. I coordinated the work across architecture, interiors, content, AV, vendors and the client team; technical specifications remained with the AV specialists.
02 / Discovery
We began in Gadchiroli, meeting the team and experiencing the context in which the centre would be built.
A two-day workshop unpacked what Lloyds had accomplished, what was underway and what the organisation planned next.
Responses from different functions surfaced the stories, proof points and priorities the experience needed to hold together.
The research did not produce a list of rooms. It produced a hierarchy of meaning.
Translate mining, processing and future ambition without turning the visit into a technical lecture.
Make local lives, skills and opportunity as visible as infrastructure and output.
Treat responsibility as part of the operating story—not an appendix at the end.
Use immersive technology where it makes scale, risk or transformation easier to understand.
Create a framework that can evolve as the company, content and visitor needs change.
03 / Concept evolution
A more operational narrative built around resource, process, capability and progress.
A more emotional narrative built around place, people and the human meaning of industry.
The final direction took the operational clarity of the first concept and the emotional power of the second. This let the centre communicate both industrial credibility and human consequence.
Begin with lives and place. Industrial scale becomes more credible when visitors understand who it serves.
Create an accessible story while preserving the complexity and ambition of the business.
An interaction earns its place only when it improves understanding, emotion or recall.
The guide controls pace and emphasis while every zone remains legible as part of one journey.
The narrative and content structure can be refreshed as projects, priorities and proof points change.
04 / Visitor journey
The experience is guided rather than self-directed. Trained guides will adapt the pacing and explanation in English, Hindi and Marathi while preserving the same core narrative.
An emotional welcome on a curved LED canvas introduces people and place before operations.
History, trust, process and community connect the resource beneath the ground to shared progress above it.
A 360° environment and glass walkway make terrain, depth and operational scale physically understandable.
A guided mining simulation turns machinery, risk and decision-making into a visceral learning moment.
ESG, data and transformation stories show that growth and responsibility are designed together.
Safety, skilling and human capability become a central proof of long-term impact.
Recognition, reflection and feedback close the experience by returning the story to collective progress.
05 / Experience decisions
The first impression deliberately leads with human transformation. A panoramic welcome creates emotional orientation before visitors encounter the complexity of mining and metals.
A layered physical-digital environment connects the company’s past, present operations and future ambition to the transformation of Gadchiroli and its communities.
The glass walkway and surrounding landscape shift the visitor from looking at mining to feeling its terrain, scale and operating conditions.
Environmental and social commitments are woven into the journey as operating principles, helping data and initiatives land as one coherent responsibility story.
The closing chapters return to people: safety, skills and the futures built alongside industrial progress.
Approved concept imagery is shown here. Certain execution details and budget-led technology adjustments remain confidential.
06 / Design leadership
As the project moved toward execution, some technology interactions were recalibrated to meet budget realities. The design response was to preserve each zone’s communication goal and emotional beat while adapting the delivery mechanism. Specific implementation details remain confidential.
07 / Alignment & approval
The client point of contact reviewed the initial options and selected the direction to develop.
We expanded the chosen direction, heard the working team’s suggestions and revised the experience.
Upper management and directors reviewed the evolved concept; their feedback informed another round of changes.
A complete walkthrough video made the final journey tangible and was approved for implementation.
08 / Current outcome
The hybrid concept and walkthrough are approved, and the complete visitor journey is being built in Gadchiroli.
Installation photography and visitor evidence will only be added after the centre is complete and operational.
Because the centre has not opened, this case study reports approved design and implementation progress—not visitor metrics.
