Most media players are like a kitchen drawer: everything’s in there somewhere. Subtitle timing, audio tracks, picture settings—you only find them by digging through menus, usually halfway through the film.
Cru Media Player
A modern video player for macOS, Windows and Linux. Clean when you just want to watch, deep when you want control.
Stop digging through menus.
Cru brings the controls to the surface. A cleaner interface you can rearrange to suit you, built with accessibility in mind, where almost everything is a key press or a trackpad gesture away. Less hunting, more watching.
Everything a film night or a subtitle fix needs.
Subtitles late? Drag them into place.
The subtitle timeline sits on the audio waveform, so you can see where the line is spoken and slide it to match.
See the frame before you jump.
Hover the seek bar for an exact preview. Hold Shift for 10× finer scrubbing.
Swipe for volume. Pinch to zoom.
Trackpad swipes set brightness and volume; double-click either side to jump 10 seconds.
Watch four at once, perfectly in sync.
Add up to three extra feeds. Play, pause, speed and seeks stay locked to the main video, and you choose which one you hear.
Pick up right where you left off.
Continue watching keeps your place, and Cru offers to resume when you reopen a file.
Shape the sound with your mouse.
Drag points on a parametric EQ. Cru lowers the gain for you, so nothing clips.
Send it to the TV.
Cast to DLNA and UPnP TVs and speakers on your network, with seeking.
Put the controls where you want them.
In Settings › Interface › Control bar layout, drag buttons on and off the bar and save layouts to switch between. Then pick a theme and accent colour.
